I cannot recall a single hospital in which I was given such a warm welcome.
A patient sent a thank you note to the Maryview Behavioral Medicine team after a recent visit. She complimented nurses, techs, counselors and Environmental Services staff with whom she interacted during her stay. She loved that her sheets were turned down in her room and that we provided hygiene essentials to our patients.
"As many hospital visits as I have had, I cannot recall a single one in which I was given such a warm welcome. You all were there for me during a difficult time in my life. I was treated with encouraging and calming words, reassurance and respect. A unit such as yours which treats so many types of mental illnesses, should be commended for meeting my unusual needs."
